so, I have not tried using QuestDB with Jupyter notebooks yet, but I did publish data table renderers in vscode marketplace again for others to try and use. Give them a whirl! https://twitter.com/TarasNovak/status/1560402316527894531

since a lot of your users work with large csv data files, I thought I'd share this alpha v. tool here too: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/tarasnovak_dataanalytics-vscode-tabulardataviewer-acti[…]915352272896-uo8Q?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

It all depends on which datasets you have available, Soham. For example, Black Friday just happened and I saw a lot of articles about how some shops were gaming the system raising prices in the weeks before Black Friday so they could advertise a discounted price afterwards. I saw some sites keeping track of price changes for some merchants. You could potentially crawl daily data of products you want to track, and store in QuestDB. You could add columns for brand, vendor, category, and even local website (for large websites with presence in multiple countries with different prices on each). Then you could use QuestDB to show trends and historical data

The same idea can be applied to Energy consumption, energy prices, air quality metrics…

Or even to track contributions and issues on Github or gitlab

It all depends on what you want to achieve, which data you already have, and how hard it would be to capture the data you don’t have

Does anyone know of a way to initialize tables in a QuestDB docker image on startup? Is there a spot where you can put an SQL script? For example, postgres initialization scripts does this, but I haven't seen anything for quest
